Cleaning & care
Appropriate cleaning and care for fine leather furniture. We assess soiling and heavily used contact areas beforehand to treat the leather as gently as possible.
Your favourite armchair is more than a piece of furniture. We clean, care for and restore your furniture leather with respect for its material, form and history.

Whether it is your armchair, sofa or bench, we first identify the leather type. Open-pore aniline leather needs different treatment from pigmented leather. We explain which method suits the material and its condition.
Open-pored leather owes its character to its natural surface. We therefore identify the leather before discussing cleaning, care or colour correction.

On suitable, high-quality aniline leather, carefully selected care can bring out the existing depth of colour without an opaque colour coat. The leather's condition and absorbency determine what is possible.
Scratches, scuffs and suitable tears are treated locally. Pigmented leather may also be suitable for colour refreshing and re-pigmentation. Hardened leather can receive targeted care after assessment.
The photographs document individual workshop projects. The possibilities and results depend on the material and its condition.

That depends on the leather type and condition. Targeted care can enhance the existing depth of colour in suitable aniline leather. An opaque colour coat is not the standard approach for this.
Heavily used headrests and armrests need individual assessment. Oils that have penetrated deeply cannot always be completely removed.
The scope, material and necessary care or drying stages determine the time required. We discuss a realistic time frame after the initial assessment.
